About Us

The term 'obstetrics and gynaecology' reflects the historical focus on reproductive medicine. Contemporary thinking reflects the broader perspective of Women's Health. Similarly the term ‘paediatrics’ implies a disease focus whereas Children’s Health encompasses a broader reality.

The Randwick Hospital campus, featuring the Royal Hospital for Women and the Sydney Children’s Hospital, are the main administrative centres for the School as well as providing teaching and research facilities for students. Teaching and research however are not restricted to this campus, with St George, Liverpool and Bankstown Hospitals also providing teaching and research opportunities.
