Long Term Placements

At least 25% of local (Commonwealth Supported) UNSW medical students undertake a minimum of 12 months and an average of 18 months of their clinical learning in residential rural environments.

From 2007, Phase 2 students who completed their ILP in 2006, will have the opportunity to undertake their Phase 2 course work in either Albury Wodonga, Coffs Harbour or Wagga Wagga.

Further opportunities are available for students interested in undertaking an Independent Learning Project (ILP).

All sites offer a full years placement in Phase 3 (Years 5 and 6).
