Aims


This study partially replicated the previous series of studies of NESB community’s patterns of alcohol and other drug use conducted by the Drug and Alcohol Multicultural Education Centre (DAMEC) over the last decade. This series of surveys over three years will determine the prevalence and patterns of alcohol and other drug use in Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic-speaking, Spanish-speaking, Italian and Pacific Islander communities in NSW.

Design and Method



A random household survey in high prevalence areas for each language group.
