Researcher Development Program - Research Traineeships on offer at CPHCE




Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to undertake a Research Traineeship with CPHCE as part of its Researcher Development Program (RDP).

Funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, the RDP is open to primary health care professionals with limited traditional research experience or opportunities who would like to develop their research skills and knowledge. During their placement, the trainee will participate in at least one of the existing projects within the Centres research streams: prevention and management of chronic disease, primary health care system development,understanding and intervening to address health inequalities.

Individuals undertaking a higher degree by full-time research or those with an established track record and experience in research are not eligible to apply.

The salary range for Research Associate is A$48,794- A$65,060 per year pro rata (plus 9% employer superannuation plus leave loading), depending on qualifications and experience.

This is a fixed term, part time (0.4FTE) appointment for 12 months, with a possibility of a six month extension. Placements are available at one of the four locations of the CPHCE (Randwick, Liverpool, Fairfield, or Illawarra), dependent upon the applicant's background and interest. The successful applicant may be required to undertake a criminal record check.
