PHReNet celebrates refunding
We are pleased to announce that PHReNet will be refunded from 2006 for a further four years.
$60 million dollars in further funding is being allocated to Phase 2 of the Primary Health Care Research and Evaluation Development Strategy (PHCRED). The Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing made the announcement at the General Practice and Primary Health Care conference in July.
PHReNet is the main activity of the University of New South Wales Research Capacity Building Program and will be funded under one of the core components of the PHCRED strategy. As yet the network has not received details of our refunding.
This is an exciting and important development for PHReNet and its members as it will mean we will be able to continue to further develop our work in building research and evaluation in the primary health care sector.
