New NHMRC grants awarded to CPHCE researchers
The CPHCE has recently been awarded two prestigious NHMRC grants.
The first will examine the role of non-GP staff in chronic disease management in general practice.This 3 year project, led by Prof Mark Harris investigates whether the involvement of non-medical general practice staff in the management of chronic disease leads to quality improvement.
Outcomes of multidisciplinary care in general practice, is a 5 year project, led by Prof Mark Harris and Prof Nicholas Zwar. The project focusses on whether an intervention to improve multi-disciplinary teamwork within general practice, and between general practice and other services (including specialist services), leads to improved quality of care for patients with chronic illnesses.
