2009 Researcher Development Program
We are pleased to announce our UNSW 2009 Researcher Development Program.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to undertake a Research Placement with the UNSW Research Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity (CPHCE) as part of its Researcher Development Program (RDP), funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. The RDP is open to primary health care professionals with limited traditional research experience or opportunities who would like to develop their research skills and knowledge. During their placement, the placeholder will work with an existing team, undertaking research in one or more of the Centre's research streams: prevention and management of chronic disease, primary health care system development, or understanding and intervening to address health inequalities.
Individuals undertaking a higher degree by full-time research, those with a current research appointment, or those with an established track record in research are not eligible to apply.
This is a fixed term part-time (0.4-0.5 FTE) appointment until 31st December 2009. Placements are available at one of the four locations of the CPHCE (Randwick, Liverpool, Fairfield and Illawarra), dependent upon the applicant's background and interest.
Applicants should systematically address the selection criteria in their application.
The successful applicant will be in a position to start 30th March 2009 and attend a short course on Research Methods, 14-17th April 2009.
Details on how to apply can be found here.
