Postgraduate Research Programs

Many different types of postgraduate research are undertaken within the Division, from basic laboratory research to clinical, epidemiological and qualitative studies. Our Division offers many excellent postgraduate research opportunities for students who are based within the Sydney Children’s Hospital, those within the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia (CCIA) or affiliated hospitals. Students work within research teams led by their supervisor(s) in the areas of clinical, basic and translational biomedical research. Students are strongly encouraged to present their research findings at national and international conferences, and to publish their work in high quality peer-reviewed journals. The School offers a supportive environment to foster the development of the students’ professional careers, and our students are considered to be important contributors to the academic environment within the School. Upon graduation, students should be ideally placed to make significant contributions to their chosen field of research.
