Children's Health

Children’s Health has major programs in teaching and research, and members of the discipline make important contributions to clinical service delivery in a number of hospitals.

The main undergraduate medical student teaching courses are the nine week paediatric rotation during Year 5 of the 3801 Program and clinical rotations in Phases 1, 2 and 3 of the new 3802 Program. A Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatrics is open to doctors who have a hospital training position at Sydney Children’s Hospital or who have a similar paediatric job in New South Wales. A number of paediatric courses are offered in the Master of Public Health Degree. Research covers a wide range of areas from clinical to laboratory based.
