Research Interests
A number of research projects in the Department of Gastroenterology, St George Clinical School, and the Inflammatory Diseases Research Unit, School of Medical Sciences. The research areas include the following : cross-regulation of chemokines and chemokine receptors; immunopathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease; novel therapeutic strategies in inflammatory bowel disease; mucosal immunity and lymphocyte trafficking; regulatory T lymphocytes and other mechanisms controlling gastrointestinal immunity; the role of the appendix in gut immunity and IBD
