Screening Tools for Cognitive Impairment
The Neurology Working Group has developed three packages to facilitate the collection of neuropsychiatric data. Each can be used to screen for the presence of peripheral neuropathy, depression/anxiety and AIDS Dementia Complex. The packages vary in time demands and complexity with the simplest taking only approximately 8 minutes and requiring little training, while the most rigorous requires a degree of formal training and takes approximately 60 minutes.
They are intended to be added on to existing clinical trial protocols where appropriate.
